Bermuda is my second fave Hamilton, (on repeat on Disney+) and they are welcoming visitors back now but with some rules. Here’s what you need to know!⠀⠀
Before Arrival⠀
- Complete the Bermuda travel authorization process online within 48 hours of departure for ALL passengers.
- Pay a $75 fee per traveler to cover COVID-19 testing in Bermuda.
- Within 72 hours to five days before departure, you must receive a negative PCR COVID-19 test and enter this info into the travel authorization process portal.
- Print out a copy of your negative test results.
- Masks are required to enter the country.
- Bring a thermometer⠀⠀
Arrival⠀⠀
- You must show your copy of the pre-departure COVID-19 negative test result. If you don’t have a pre-departure negative PCR COVID-19 test result you have to isolate in your hotel/Air BNB room for 3 days. You will be tested on day 3 and if tests are negative, you can explore the island. If the test is positive you have to stay in isolation.
- Those with pre-departure test proof will take another PCR COVID-19 test at BDA Airport. Children less than 10 years old are exempt.
- You must stay in your hotel or Air BNB room until results are ready (this normally takes between 6 to 8 hours in most cases if you arrive during the day).
- You are required to take your own temperature twice per day and report it in an online application/portal.
- You must take a COVID-19 test on your 3rd, 7th and, 14th day at pop-up instant testing centers around the island. (You can set up appointments online.)
- You must wear a mask, practice social distancing, and follow the 12 am-5 am lockdown curfew.
You should get health insurance that covers illness and injury outside of your home jurisdiction, including those related to a positive COVID-19 diagnosis while in Bermuda. If you don’t, you will be responsible for all health and accommodation costs for treatment and/or quarantine.⠀⠀
