Last Minute Gift Ideas For PTO Nomads

The PTO Nomad

Okay…

So, is it just me, or did this year FLY by?

It is literally Christmas, and I admit I have yet to purchase one gift. That’s where my bestie Amazon and Google come into play!

And they can come to the rescue for you too, especially for the PTO Nomads in your life!

PTO Nomads are jacks of all trades, we live a dual life as a full-time employee in the business office realm and utilize our vacation time or paid time off to explore the world. Shopping for a PTO Nomad is different than shopping for your average “wanderluster“, or travel junkie. We need versatility, efficiency, and strategic presents!

Check out my list below:

Travel Miles

Miles are literally like currency to a PTO Nomad. We can use them during multiplier promotions, to catch a quick flight, or even rent a car. Most of us have accumulated a few from business travel, so topping us off is extremely appreciated! You can buy, transfer, and even gift travel miles. My favorite mile programs are Delta SkyMiles and American Advantage Miles due to their versatility and unique ways to gain miles. (I will blog more about that later, but I earn miles for normal things like paying my Gas bill!)

Clear Airport Security Subscription

As a PTO Nomad, we are very strategic with our time, and that can mean rushing to the airport after work, or for the more daring type flying in right before our shifts. CLEAR Security uses biometrics that allows you to bypass the passport check to the airport security lines, getting you to the TSA lines faster. Membership gives you fast track access to over 40 airports, stadiums, and other venues around the country!

Versatile Bag

A good personal bag can take your carry-on game to the next level. Personally, I never check a bag unless absolutely necessary. I choose to use a standard rolling carry on and a mid-size bookbag or satchel. This allows me to move faster through the airport and even slip out of the office after work. Get your PTO Nomad a great bag that can serve double duty as an office bag and for travel.

The Travel Pack

Listen, office life is rough, travel is a great time to unwind with a cocktail. Why not give your Nomad the tools to make their own? Inspired by the classic Dopp kit, The Travel Pack is a set of three Carry On Cocktail Kits Old Fashioned, Gin & Tonic, and Moscow Mule neatly packed in a travel-size bag. Each kit includes the tools to craft two cocktails mid-flight: syrup, 1/2 oz jigger, a travel-size bar spoon, a recipe card, and a linen coaster. Just add the hard stuff and stir.

Portable Iron

A Portable Iron is a great item for a PTO Nomad, especially while travelling on business/leisure (wink, wink) trips. With quick warm-up and its small size this item can get that suit in order if you have a business meeting before you can check-in.

Giftcards

This is self-explanatory, right? You can never go wrong!
Top picks: AirBNB, Delta Airlines, Hotels.com, Southwest Airlines, Amazon, Visa, American Airlines

Sky Hour

I love receiving Skyhours when I’m not sure which airline I want to fly on. The program allows you to gift air hours anywhere in the world, on various airlines. 1 hour of flight = 1 sky hour.
Sky Hour, $1 per minute, $60 per Skyhour
