PRIME Day Deals List to Feed Your Wanderlust

The PTO Nomad

It’s that time of year again! AMAZON PRIME DAY! This is THE Super Bowl of shopping online* (note. please negate the Atlanta Falcon’s Superbowl experience, but I digress).

With 48 hours of deals on items not often marked down, this is a great time to look into some items to help you travel efficiently and save some money!

Watch List:

Start building your list with the suggested items below:

1. Giftcards! I didn’t put this as number one for just any reason! Amazon marks down gift cards during Prime Day on many major retailers. Look out for deals from Air BNB, Hotels.com, Southwest Airlines, Uber and many more. Snatch these up in anticipation of your next trip. Not only does it help you save off the face value price but you can stack even more savings with these online with Rakuten (formerly Ebates. If you don’t have an account, sign up here (Referral Link FYI) AND make sure you are signed up for Delta SkyMiles Shopping, Southwest Airlines Rapid Rewards, and American Airlines AAadvantage eShopping programs to earn miles while you shop!

2. Packing Cubes. These little babies can drastically change your carry-on luggage game! Compression ones are even better because they press out any excess air in your clothes leaving more room for those souvenirs you don’t really need, but must have, (Hello Nepal Monastery Shot Gloss)

3. Luggage Sets. Buying luggage separately can get expensive, Amazon has many stylish and durable sets that will fit all of your packing needs, sometimes for under $100! Keep your eye out for good book bag deals too for those small personal item trips.

4. Passport covers. Block potential identity fraud with an RFID blocking passport cover. Not only will these babies keep your confidential information safe, but some give you extra room for IDs, copies of IDs, and your boarding pass.

5. Neck Pillows. It is the absolute worst thing to have to travel with a stiff neck due to awkward sleep positions on planes, especially in economy. Grab an inflatable, microfiber or memory foam neck pillow to prevent the snoring head nod from taking over your row. I normally don’t suggest specific items but this pillow is amazing especially for side sleepers.

6. Action Cameras. GoPros take some amazing footage of our travels but honestly they can be kind of expensive($400+ for a Hero 7). This sale offers many off brand alternatives that have similar specs. Don’t forget those SD memory cards!
